An amalgamation of my two late grandmothers, Rosie and Anita, ROSETTA pays tribute to their Egyptian and Israeli heritage. Also the name of an Egyptian port city of the Nile Delta, ROSETTA draws inspiration from the symbols, textures and colours of the Middle East. At the heart of the collection rests the Evil Eye. For centuries, this symbol has been used as a form of protection and shelter against evil across many cultures, with the earliest evidence dating back to ancient Greece and Rome.
ROSETTA was designed in Australia and handcrafted by local artisans. The collection uses varying semi-precious gem stones meaning no two pieces are identical. Each hand made piece has its own personality, with its own rough edges and its own imperfections, therein lies its beauty and individuality.
